TOKYO, Jan 31, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. (HOC) and JAL Hotels Co., Ltd. (JHC) announced they will offer shared benefits to members of both companies' frequent guest programs starting February 1st.
This is the second step in the companies' joint marketing efforts, following HOC's acquisition of a majority of JHC shares last fall. A joint reservation service was already announced.
Under the new program rules for Okura Club International (OCI) and My JALHotels (MYJ), OCI members will receive the same benefits as MYJ members when they stay at a hotel in JHC's Nikko Hotels International and Hotel JAL City groups. MYJ members will also receive the same benefits OCI members are offered at hotels in the Okura Hotels & Resorts group.
Since members of both programs will earn benefits at any of the Okura and JAL Hotels properties, they will have the advantage of a larger list of hotels where they can earn points and mileage.
